Monday Mosaic…Hello Autumn

and Hello October. My favorite holiday just happens to be Halloween and after four very long years of living in a country that really doesn’t understand the cultural hodge-podge of an American Halloween I am going to celebrate it. So, this means that all month this blog will be doing Halloween inspired fun. I am not a blood, guts and gore type of girl so if that is your idea of Halloween you may be disappointed. I am a traditionalist and so Halloween is more of a psychological, ‘haunted not hunted’ type of scenario.

but…it is only October 1st and I have only begun to decorate so today’s mosaic is a mix of Autumnal and Halloween fun. The animals at our little 2.5 acre wood are changing with the seasons as well, there are less butterflies and dragonflies but the bees have been busy. The deer have been here more frequently, the hummingbirds are giving way to cardinals and the squirrels are frantically gathering acorns. The cats are enjoying all the activity outside and trying to stay warm on chilly mornings.
